[Wanted] A project - Early defender for a first time restora

Really fancy attempting a full restoration project on an early Defender.

Anyone know of anything that needs serious work let me know. I missed out on a complete mess of a 1998 300TDI with 60k miles for £1400 last week that would have been ideal.

Although doing it would be done for the experience and not for profit I'd ideally do this on something that potentially would make it's money back.

Just PM me. I'm up North (Newcastle) but can bring a mate's trailer.

this one isnt mine but i know where it isand te owner has a few other projects before he gets to this one

early v8 110.

if you have a budget it would help.

this one runs and drives and has mot but needs a light refresh.

trying to keep it in the uk

Pm sent. No real budget. I’d rather have one that needed a fair bit of work for cheaper. Than just a chassis replacement and a cleanup.
But open to anything really. Not really doing it for profit but would be good to get the investment back.

Budget up to 6k ish. Very early puma in need of a lot of work.

2002 Defender 110 Td5 DCPU Santorini Black

I have a 300tdi CSW that I am looking to part with.

I’m not sure what it’s worth, but it has 300k on the clock, but has had a new disco engine at some point. It’s pretty ratty, chassis could be repaired, but is probably going to need a new chassis in the next few years.

Failed mot on chassis, rear seatbelts, headlights(I’ll include new belts and headlights)

I even would Chuck in a spare engine, gearbox and transfer box for the right price plus a load of service items as well. Most of the panels are straight, apart from part of the tub where it got reversed into a wall, but it’s fixable. Couple of the doors have seen better days.

I bought it with the same intentions as you but I just don’t have time.
