1st Registration
Can I ask those in the know a question regarding documentation for 1st registration? I’ve taken the plunge and gone for an Eiger Grey D240 110 HSE and I’ll drop some photos as and when I get it !! The dealer has apologised and stated there is a backlog in the required documentation from LR to allow the 1st registration. What is it they require ? Ive been waiting two weeks and I’ve seen the car its sitting in the dealers. Anyone heard of this before ?

I would be asking them to detail exactly what documentation they are waiting for from Land Rover. Send an email to the CEO. Defender 90XS SW

Re: 1st Registration
As long as the vehicle is consigned within the UK you don’t need any paperwork from the manufacturer to first register a new vehicle, it’s all done on DVLA’s AFRL system. You don’t event need the COC (Certificate of Conformity) Ride like you stole it!!
If I’m not on a bike it’s because only a 4x4 will do…

Could the problem be March 1st is coming up and they want to put your new car on the new plate? Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

Their electronic systems have continued to work quite effectively (DVLA effectively), it’s only where manual intervention is needed have they really struggled. Ride like you stole it!!
