VIDEO LAND ROVER DEFENDER IN THE SUMMIT OF THE MOUNTAIN
Hello guys,, Last weekend we had 3 days to do a trip, so we chose to go to discover some places in the Pyrenees of Huesca. There are several walking excursions to do once you are there: You can do down to the Yaga river and you will see a very beautiful gorge with an amazing waterfall (1 hour walk). Further up you will find a place to park your car and do a 45 minute walk to find several viewpoints to see the gorge and the incredible bearded vultures (quebrantahuesos): they are called like this because they feed on bones. They drop them from the heights so that they can eat the bones better.
The next day we went along the scenic road of Chisagües to do a 4WD track. We also recorded the track to find it in wikiloc. This is the link: https://www.wikiloc.com/offroading-tr...
The track climbs up to the Path of Las Pardas, and if you look at the map you will see that it gets near the mountain lakes of Barrosa (Barroude in French, they are in the French side). It's a desolate trail. We climbed as high as 2.400 mt. This old trail was used by the miners of Minas de Liena to take lead and iron to France, and also it was used by the smugglers. We couldn't go any higher because the trail was completely covered in snow. At some point we explored a hole that we assumed was the remnants of an old mine.
In the afternoon we went to try and find the Lake Urdiceto, which was very near to where we were. We decided to skip lunch and just go there before it was completely snowed. But you will see that we were not very well prepared for the discovery of the Lake.
You will also see in the video the Reservoir of Urdiceto, which is used as a hydroelectric energy.
The third day we did a very nice little 4x4 track which is like a park for handicapped people without barriers of any kind. It runs parallel to a river. This is the wikilock link to do this track https://www.wikiloc.com/offroading-tr...
