Does anyone have an XENG ignition barrel/steering lock guard
I bought one of these a little while ago for my rebuild and it has just come to the point fo trying to fit it. I got rid of my old ignition barrel in favour of a new one (a genuine land rober one) which looks identical to what i recall of the old one.

When trying to fit the XENG guard it just does not fit well at all. The provided shear bolt is too short and bottoms out whilst the guard is still totally loose. When fitting a longer M10 bolt instead, the guard is so much larger than the barrel that it is pulled offcentre as it is tightened and means the key can no longer be inserted far enough to turn.

Has anyone else encountered any similar issues or knows of different sizes of ignition barrel?

Hi, It sounds like you have a late type 2015 MY ignition barrel, the X-eng guard wasn't changed to suit these.
The barrel is smaller externally, and as you've found, the guard is a loose fit.

I did fit one to my 2015 Defender, but it was modified and held with additional bolts/screws clamping around the barrel.
