Using Equipment from D3/D4
Hi everybody
As suggested I place my questions regarding the use of Equipment originally made for the Disco 3/4 here again:

I am sure someone of you can answer:
Is the trailer tow bar from a D3/D4 also fitting the New Defender?
Can I use my D3/4 expedition roof rack also on the Defender?
Have you anything heard or selfexperienced about problems with the New Defender?
For the D3/4 it was easy to retrofit even electrical options with the right programming tool. Is it also possible on the Defender?

Thank you Hedgehog

It's highly unlikely that any of your D3/4 kit will fit the new Defender as they're very different in both shape and underpinnings.

As for problems, have a browse through the threads in this section. Minor niggles about rattling trim and the infotainment system seem to be the only significant things so far.

The answer to your last question is almost certainly no, or at least not yet. It will be some time before aftermarket diagnostics catch up and reveal whether any hidden goodies can be unlocked, for example. Darren

you might be able to adapt the expo rack but it will take fabrication effort and for me I would just sell it and buy a defender one. I did put my D3/4 load mat in a 110 the other week its 20cm too deep but would fit if you trimmed it a bit Laughing 110 MY23.5 X Dynamic HSE
