Hi all,
New here, moved from a discovery to a defender td5 2002my. I have a couple of questions about wiring auxiliaries. My plan is to fit a dual battery system, T-Max probably. I want to add a fusebox for the second battery, as well as a set of relays for my light bar etc. Has anyone used these fuse boxes from eBay with relays and fuses in? Do I need an inline fuse between the battery and the fusebox? Second question, I plan to run a mud pod with Carlin switches in for the individual accessories. If I am using relays, is it fine to just use a single live up to the pod that will act as the switch live and for the switch illumination? Final question for now, on the relays, do I need to fuse both the switch side and the accessory side of the wire? Thanks in advance |

With this:

A lot cheaper and you can program it the way you want. I have it ignition controlled and the batteries connect after the voltage off the main battery is above 13 V and disconnects if the voltage comes below 12 V while winching etc. and if the ignition is switched off. You can also program a delay time in so it will first charge your main battery for x minutes before the batteries connect.
