A few weeks ago I asked Martin if the file size could be increased to allow individuals to load animated avatars! I loaded one and I have just seen Lorrymans new one (did make me laugh!). Pror to this Fekete I think was one of the only individuals who had one. There are a few more creeping in...Which I think personally brightens the site up a bit and gives you a little more individuality! Red Dot's couldn't be more suitable!
As long as the file is less than 51KB it's a goer! Google 'free animated avatars' and there is quite a choice. Keeping the size down can be hard though!
