Heated front screen wiring HELP
Hi All,

So I thought I would have a go at fitting the wiring for my heated screen, however I am unsure as to what wire I should be joining the new loom up to.

I have a yellow wire that needs a ignition live.
Red and orange
black

Presumably I can use the red/orange and the black from the heated rear screen switch but what’s the best one to use for the yellow? The instructions said that it needs to be from the radio but it does not say what colour wire.

Any help would be great as I have a 90 looking sorry for itself in the garage.

I would think the white/green from the heated rear window switch would be suitable if you only need an ignition live for the switch and relay. The radio switched live is also live in key position I which isnt really right for the heated screen.

That makes sense, no issue with using the same switch for the red/orange and black wires as well?

What’s the best way to check the heated screen is actually working correctly? Volt meter in the window connections?

Thanks

No cant see any issue with taking all of the switch feeds you need from the HRW switch as long as they are only feeding the heated screen switch and relay.

To test, as you say, multimeter over the terminals at the screen to check you have voltage.

Thanks for your help, all up and running now. I managed to put the dash back with no leftover screws as well.
