Do you happen to know what sizes of tyres have TÜV approval on ZUs? There should be a pamphlet with them. Can't find the original info anywhere ![]() A listing on eBay limits them to 235/70R16 and 255/85R16 - I want 265s (265s are approved on my 7 x 16 steel Dotz rims). Cheers Matt Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Great stuff, sure you won't be disappointed, good choice going to AJS, I've bought a tyre or two there before and always been very well looked after!

Update: the ST Maxxs are wearing extremely well (i.e. not wearing much) and are very quiet on Autobahns at 30 degrees doing 140 kmh

Hi Mick,
Mine have been on for a good 40k and still have loads of meat on them. I've been totally impressed with these tyres, they're very quiet and grip very well in all circumstances, I do about 30k per year, so road performance is very important, and I tend to drive a lot of twisty country lanes with my foot planted to the floor in order to harness all that Mr Bell ![]() ![]() BAS re Remap, BAS Turbo, BAS Spec Modified Airbox, Twisted Side exit Decat Exhaust, Allisport Cooler and Hoses, OME Sport Shocks, Kangaroo Paw Discs. 2001 Discovery II Porsche Speedster Replica 1956ish |

Done about 4000 miles on mine - very quiet, but too early yet to really know if they are wearing well.
Next test is how well they cope with proper icy roads and soft and/or compacted frozen snow.... Our blog - http://landytravels.com/ Yorkshire Off Road Club - http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net |

Hmmm, even with 4 full sets of tyres and wheels I feel that these could be a worth while addition for summertime driving whilst towing the caravan.
![]() ![]() Has anybody with these fitted had any issues with the grip in the wet? I thought that 265/75 x 16 would be a good size, anybody running with these fitted and doing a lot of towing in the 2-3.5 ton ( Caravan and Cattle trailer, obviously not at the same time, we live in Britain old boy not the Antipodes. ![]() Brian. |

As before on these tyres, I do about 30k per annum, have maxed out on all available performance improvements short of LPG injection and drive hard and fast in all environments. I live in the Kent Weald with plenty damp and twisty country lanes to enjoy. The tyres are dependable and predictable in every sense and after about 12 months still surprise me, and the saloon cars I chase, with the amount of grip they offer, even in the wet. Anyone in or near me is welcome to try!! Oh and they're oh so quiet too!
