What a very sour start of the week.
On Saturday night my little ginger pal Tigger of 15 years went AWOL, which was not like him. I even put a picture up of him on facebook, just to see if the locals had seen him etc. Nothing,
On Tuesday afternoon, my sister had just come in from work, when she heard mewing and she spotted Tigger looking like something out of a nightmare! He had been hit by a car, and he had used every single ounce of strength he had to get back home to us. We sped off down to the local vets, who said he is in a very bad way and it would be kind to put him to sleep.
One of the worst journeys and decisions i had to make. It took me nearly 5 mins to start the car and drive home. My mam and dad had broke down, while me and my sister were at the vets. So Tuesday night was very dark one for the proctor house hold sadly.
One very strong, sweet, vicious and ginger cat he was Thumbs Up Just in pain for losing him, as he still had a few years left in him.
Here is my little gingers as i called him

So Sorry for you when I read this. My parents used to have a lovely Ginger and white Thomas Cat who used to come and stay with me when they went away on trips/ holiday. He was a much loved pus cat and even after many years since he was put to sleep after melanoma caught up with him heโ€™s not forgotten and now sleeps peacefully under a tree in the garden where the birds used to feed on the bird feeders and tease him....... Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place wonโ€™t be missed!

Sorry to hear about your loss.

We have a rescue cat, an all white cat called Snowy, she is 17 years young now and has moved house with us probably 5 times,

She's seen us bring, Baby's home x 2, who are now 13 and 9, rabbits, Chickens, ducks, gerbils. She's a fantastic cat but she is getting very thin and possibly even a little deaf now.

More recently we go out for a walk in the evening with the kids to up our step counts and she has started following us, we have to run back with her and lock her in the house. Odd as she did this as a Kitten and has only recently started doing it again.

She has loved lockdown, and being a rescue cat I say everyday for her has been a bonus.

So sorry to hear - they may be just "pets" to some people but they are truly part of the family. A sad decision and a hard one too.

Lost for other words really.

thanks pals for your kind words Crying or Very sad

Its knocked me for 6 with me been very close to him, and my mum still cannot figure out how the hell our ginger boy made it home in the state he was in. To me that's going well beyond the distance. He was more than just a pet, he was a very loyal and vicious pal, and always very talkative and demanding too. Going to be a very strong miss for me, 15 years for the ginger gags.
Times i will really miss is on a morning, when we would shout at each other, Him demanding to be let out, before i put the kettle on, Also him eating my left overs, he always tapped me on the shoulders and mewing for a piece of my dinner. One thing he used to eat peri peri chicken etc Shocked
Ah if i could turn back the clock again to have him here again, i would Big Cry

I will be picking his ashes up and we have decided to get a little casket of a cat sleeping to put him in. He will be then put on top of my computer, which sits on the desk. So he is with me always. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
