Rear ARB kit
Defender 90 with a 200tdi Disco transplant. When looking at fitting a rear ARB kit the rear exhaust gets in the way. Has any encountered this and if so what did you do to work around it please. 1990 200tdi conversion 90

Not sure which bit it hitting as it’s not something I’ve encountered. But you can space your ARB down at the mounting points using tow bar spacers as they are the correct hole spacing.

Is the exhaust standard Harry ? Or cobbled together with bits of others ?

I think the mid to read section is standard, only modified at the engine outlet down pipe. 1990 200tdi conversion 90

You are trying to fit an ARB onto a chassis / exhaust combination that was never designed to accept an ARB, that’s why it fouls.

Ta, I follow a 89 Defender chippy on Insta. I noticed he has a rear ARB fitted hence my curiosity resurrection. Ah well one less job to do the. 👍. 1990 200tdi conversion 90
