Just wondered if anyone has an impressive record with regard to the number of Land Rover's owned in one year?
Then i'll tell you my shameful tally! David. |

They are just as real land rovers as defenders...infact without them there wouldnt be defenders - so maybe they are the real land rovers?! Mike |

Keep kidding yourself, there is only one proper Land Rover, and that is the Defender.

Well as provocative posts seem to be in vogue at the moment. Anyone one that intimates that the Defender was a new concept without direct lineage from it's predecessors must have his head up his ass in life and prayer for too long
The Land Rover is a result of natural selection by natural forces over the past 6 decades using the same basic design with the same basic chassis. Simple upgrades such as engines, coils, dash boards etc is all that has been deemed necessary for the survival of the species... even Land Rover themselves market the lack of change over the years. It wasn't built in 7 days Get real... This from the current brochure (the 1948 and 2007 - models are out of shot ) Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

They tried that for marketing - 2 parts are direct from a series - but series land rovers dont exist...so its just a common part - like many other cars. 90/110 and defender share just about the same line...which is different to the series The only actual land rover product still following the same line is actually the full range rover - as its line runs from the 70's Everything else is a new product with the last 30 years.
