Awesome report and great pics thanks. It looks like thereβs been so many cars park for a photo next to that β John Oβ groatsβ sign that the road has had to be replaced.
How much for the return trip to Orkney. Cheers Keith |

Excellent Photos Looks like you had an awesome time Very inspiring too.
I did the NC500 before it became a "thing" on a motorcycle. Fantastic roads and scenery. Very happy memories of Orkney too. Mrs Rockster and I were planning another trip there before covid raised its ugly head. Keeping fingers crossed for next year now. |

Keith
It was pricey really... For a return trip. I thought it was Β£123 for the car and 4 passengers..... I only looked at one way π² So Β£246 however we thought, we have come this far why not !! Having the car enabled us to take supplies and I did 150 miles round the Island to most corners and view points !! All worth itπ |

Aha - fabulous. Done it many times by motorbike, but usually trying to go as fast as I can (before it was the NC500) to enjoy the tarmac, and missing some of the view
Thank you for sharing Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |

We're off to Orkney at the end of next week. Strange place - really gets under your skin. This will be the 8th or 9th time we've been up. Had to cancel May, but we've got to know the cottage owner so she was able to rebook us without any commitment in case anything went wrong.

It is a pricey return but yes worth every penny.
Looks like AMBxx has his retirement all sorted then. Great write up. Keith |
