Not sure you're right there, this chap, amongst many others, would tell you there's nothing like a bored dog to wreak a little havoc:

O.M.G!!!! I’m speechless with all these stories!! Having said that. We took on a 3 year old rescue Boxer (23 years ago) to keep our other dog Company and had just moved into a brand new 3 storey town house. They had the full run of the stairs and landings right up to and including the sitting room and kitchen which was on the top floor. 3 weeks into getting him, the boxer always became anxious if we left the house and would do a poo straight away. But on this occasion he trampled it all over the house on the stairs, landings and sofas. Then, not satisfied with that he managed to open the door into the ground floor bedroom we used as another sitting room for the garden and it had those self closing fire doors he couldn’t get back out. He destroyed the sofa, scraped the plaster off the walls each side of the door and actually scraped a whole right through the door. When my partner came home for lunch the place looked like a bomb had gone off.
He was a gorgeous dog but completely incompatible with people leaving him unaccompanied so we ended up giving him to our friend who worked on a road roller and he sat in the cab with him all day as happy as Larry. At night night he used to take him with him to the local pub and they were inseparable. So it all worked out in the end. Sold the Puma Defender and bought a brand new Pangea Green 2020 Defender D240 S with a few factory extras!

i suppose thats's why we had them for 18 years when we lived in the UK..

Laughing Thumbs Up a good friend in the UK classed ours as a mobile dralon suite..
and walking a Weimie through an English wood at dusk in the summer was always
great fun, especially the shimmer of their coat used to scare the crap out of other
walkers who thought they had seen a ghost (well technically they had, it was known as the
silver ghost in Germany) yet another pommie bar steward down under
