If you click on the 'BBCode Full Size' link at the bottom of the gallery page and paste that into your post, it sorts itself out with the correct 'img' and '/img' tags:

Yes 3 becomes 2, which is what I need for 2 eBikes
However, Thule sell an extension piece for the Velospace XT3 to make it a 4 bike rack which allows 3 ... Max recommended weight on rack is 60Kg so it appears robust, although weighs 20Kg itself Thule also make a Backspace XT - 300 litre lockable storage box which fits on the rack, on their website Drawings of the official Land Rover accessory bike rack and spare wheel adaptor look very similar so presume they are supplied by Thule |

maybe one of these will help, reasonably priced and allows you to keep both Bike slots and
your existing carrier Click image to enlarge yet another pommie bar steward down under MY20 110 P400 SE Defender MY10 3.0 RR Sport |

Not sure they are allowed in UK or Europe - TUV approval etc. Would need to do some further research on that one.
I looked at similar option for my old defender last year I’m sorted for 2 bikes anyway |

That extension looks like it is for the receiver type hitch mount that we don’t get here in Europe. In 2003 my 1st FFRR and my 2010 FFRR also had a receiver hitch fitting in an attempt by LR to streamline One subframe for all markets with the swan neck ball hitch plugging into the receiver. On the first FFRR the towhitch was loose in the receiver and even when I had a trailer on it rattled like mad, the second one had been redesigned to fit better which made it quite difficult to remove when not in use. In Australia the deployable hitch is not approved, we basically have this as fitted to all my
Landies over the years. So the bar would work on the Defender to extend the ball past the wheel, just need to find one that is of decent quality and fitment Click image to enlarge yet another pommie bar steward down under MY20 110 P400 SE Defender MY10 3.0 RR Sport |

One of the problems with the early ones here was they were held in place by a pin with a spring clip through the pin and the entire tow hook was very easily stolen Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

Not sure what’s going on in the UK with all the stealing of spare tyres and tow hitches and covering up of number plates in pictures but none of these are an issue here in Oz. Zilch your a Pom living in Sydney what’s the go?

The problem is e-Bay, you can easily sell on what you have stolen............ even if it is only for a 1/10th of it’s true value or replacement cost Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

Hi orled,
Thank you for capturing your setup with the Thule bike rack. Q. Can I ask how far the back door can swing open when the rack is in tilt mode. with the bikes still on? |
