Brackets on Transfer Case for EGT sensors connectors on 2.2
Gents,

Anyone has a picture of top side of transfer case where the harness goes over transfer case. Pictures through seatbox center? It seems to me that there should be some brackets where the DPF temperature sensor connectors (3 of) snap on.

Transfer case is coming out this week... I think it is the 4th time in its life, 3x by previous owner. and I like to have all the brackets and connectors back in their original place, I hate zip tying everything together in a bunch. I already know that the difflock and high/low connector bracket is missing Crying or Very sad , but that should be same as the 2.4 that I have access to to copy.

Reason for transfer case removal is an oil leak, from main gearbox. I monitored the levels for past months. Previous owner fitted Ashcroft adapter shaft. I understand that there were some variants, no idea which one I will find.

Appreciate your responses. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

The best I could find from my searches so far. But wish I had a real photo.

Next step need to find out the part number of the bracket where the 3 dpf temperature sensor connectors are attached to.
Else have to figure out dimensions to fabricate one. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

Hi Dinnu

I was placing an order so bought LR017535 to help narrow it down for you.

Here are some images: https://www.lrworkshop.com/parts/LR017535

It might not be the bracket you want though?

Dear Will,

Unfortunately it is not that bracket. I believe that LR017535 is for the High/Low and Diff Lock switches connectors, and mounts on 2 bolts of the High/Low selector housing. The 2.4s came with that bracket. I know because I replaced a transfer box on my nephew's 2.4.
Mine is a 2.2 and does not have that bracket. But searches on google of 2.2 transfer cases seem to indicate that 2.2s do not have LR017535 by default.

The bracket that I am after is the last picture shown in my last comment. It is a fairly large bracket with a number of holes in it to clip the connectors. The connectors have like a double fir tree that push into 2 holes for each connector.

For the time being, I bent a piece of 30x3 flat bar, and bolted it to the stud that couples the transfer case to the adapter plate, drilled a couple of holes, and zip tied the connectors to it. It does the job, but I like to have it as original as possible, as the plans are to keep for long term. I will take a picture of my contraption and post it here. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

I'm not sure it's in the diagrams. The only other one I could find it this, which probably isn't it: https://www.lrworkshop.com/diagrams/land-r...g_45148#18

I'd be interested to know if you ever find the part number! LR Workshop

I've been contacted by a non-Def2 member who saw this thread to say the bracket is LR029641

I'll try and buy a few of those brackets in that diagram so we can at least get some photos, unless anyone has any lying around? LR Workshop

Yes, it is LR029641, great, thank Will Bow down

This is my contraption. Made from 30x3 flat bar (304 stainless that I had laying around). I placed a few holes such that i can put a cable tie around each of the connectors, as 2 out of 3 had their clips missing too. Not visible in the pic, i added an angle at the far end and a hole and placed a clip to keep the wires away from the high/low selector rod. In the pic it looks like the green cable is catching on the high/low connector, but actually there is clearance.
