Looks like a very polished presenter forcing his product on an audience by dressing it up as a moral issue...
"Since I've been talking, another 13,000 around the world are suffering from diarrhoea and four children have <sniff> died....please.....think of the children (then buy my bottle, available in the foyer for £14.99") It's a filter, in a bottle. Move on. |

I have both the water bottle and the Jerry can . I've used the bottle extensively - genuinely filled up from muddy puddles and stagnant ditches. Works really well and I have complete confidence in it BUT it is very heavy to carry around. Fine for a vehicle but if you're out on a hike it's a lot of weight. That said, you can get away with carrying less water because you can top up everywhere from any crumy source. Not really necessary in this country but I'm sure it would be awesome abroad in a vehicle. The jerry can is then the perfect solution for an expedition vehicle (take it to the water source and not have to rely on hoses) and perfectly filtered. Also pretty easy to clean out (a pain for fixed tanks). I've used mine a bit but only in the uk - completely unnecessary. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |
