[Wanted] Front door handles - larger lock barrels - MXC7652
Hi guys,

When I rebuilt my replacement doors I'd bought 4 x Bearmach branded door handles. The rear ones worked OK, the front ones needed about 4-5mm taken off the moulding to make it fit properly. (I'd had them waiting on the shelf for too long to return to the supplier).

It was OK at the time, but now it looks like I'll be stripping the doors again and I'd rather replace them.

No point in buying britpart or bearmach and getting the same thing again, so looking at genuine - £77 a shot or thereabouts. I don't think I really need new ones, good, used would do as long as they were genuine LR.

Anyone have a decent set kicking about? I need the ones with the larger (20mm?) lock barrels - about 2002 onwards?

I think these are part numbers MXC7652 and 7651 - or maybe the newer ones I need are CXB000020PMA?

Thanks Donald

Hi there,

Thanks very much! That definitely works for me. In fact, having thought about it I might just leave the passenger plug in place as the grand plan is to fit central locking, which would make it more or less redundant.

I'll send a PM very shortly.

Cheers. Donald

You will have to leave the passenger plug in place as for some crazy reason, if central locking was fitted, Land rover used the old type small barrel door handle for the passenger side with a plug fitted Instead of the later large barrel handle.

Thanks a lot for posting that! Good info. That's the kind of thing I'd discover only after popping the plug out... because one would assume....

I wonder why on earth they would do that? Using up a stock of old handles?

Anyway, I really appreciate the heads up. Thumbs Up Donald
