Hi,
I am looking for an option to mount solidly a 2" receiver on the front of my 90 for a project. I have found a bumper from firstfour https://www.firstfour.co.uk/defender-heavy...ocket.html and a bash plate from safari Equip https://www.safari-equip.co.uk/defender-st...d-pin.html Anyone else aware of any other options? I am going to be designing a detachable rack for the front end. It will that hinge up so it sort of looks like a bull bar when not in use, then be able to fold it down flat and it will be complete with a sliding tray/ramp arrangement to enable the recovery of red deer from the hill. Idea would be to tie it in to the recovery points as well to take the torsional load off the receiver pin. Total max load will be 150kg when its loaded including the rack itself, so dynamic loading of ~300kg. trying to avoid this look... road legality not an issue Cheers Mike [/img] |

Those were the only 2 that I found. I ended up with the first four bumper. Very strong and well made. I got galvanised and then painted it. Forget powder coat as the inside of the hitch soon rubs that off.

Watling Engineering?
I no longer trailer-sail but my truck's fitted with one of their push-bars (I never was much good at reversing a boat down a narrow slip), three receivers 'cos if the truck's offset you get more of a view of where you're going rather than just the front of the boat or caravan... Peter |

I have fitted one of these to my 110, to help with boat manoeuvres - makes things simpler!

^^ That would appear to be the Safari Equip product (or a near exact clone).
