Sweet!
Got any details and pics on the rear rubber lining that you mention? Looking for something suitable for my DC. |

My last one was that colour and if looks were anything had the ability to stay cleaner than the black one I have now Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |

Mine is Galway Green, which I thought was the best colour. Having been loaned a Bali blue ?? FL2 HSE I would love a DC in that colour. Bob |

Aye, silver not my favourite colour but had it purely for practical reasons. Looks clean when its filthy, hides the scratches and looks crisp and clean in the future. Was tempted by stornoway grey but its abit too common. Doesn't everyone have it in that colour? Was also tempted by keswick green but to me it didn't look right with body coloured roof, arches and alloys. |

Yes another vote for silver. I went for it largely because I look the "metal" look (love bare ali LR's!) but also because it's such a practical colour as it hides scratches and dirt so well. It also looks brilliant in the sun but doesn't come out well in pictures! I only wash my wife's silver car literally twice a year
I have had a black car and bike before and it's a nightmare colour, looks great in the showroom but unless you clean it everyday - not so good! I looked at Stornoway but it looked dull if not in direct sunlight, whites a bit of a characterless bland colour I think but red, blue and any green of course looks good. The old Epsom Green was lovely, now called Galway Green now There that's just insulted half the members here I only had to polish this twice in the 3 years I owned it and only wiped it down maybe 4 times a year. Always looked good, good enough even for classic car shows Just doesn't come out well in pictures By the way I have had no regrets about selling this for my Defender. I haven't even thought about it - the Defender is so much more engaging and use-able :D Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |
