Relocating the fuel filter
I lost the fuel filter guard and now my fuel filter is vulnerable to fallen tree branches etc. My first intention was to build my own guard but now i'm considering to relocate it to a more secure and/or warm position.

Any thoughts are appreciated. Defender 110 SW MY2011 2.4tdci decat, no EGR

I replaced the original retaining screw which I find very flimsy with an Nut and Bolt (cannot remember if it was M6 or M8). The guard is much more secure now. Perhaps would be smart if you fit one of those captive nuts, such as BYH500100 (those are M8) to the bracket that is mounted to the chassis, that way you do not need to use 2 spanners. to take off the guard. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

Get a new guard, I don’t think they’re that expensive........much cheaper than the result of having the fuel filter ripped off 😬
