Did you manage to get this sorted Martyn?
I'm after a new fob or two for my 2013 110 and I've got the new style key the same as yours. Alex 2013 2.2 TDCi Puma Hard Top https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72473.html |

I ended up paying the £130 and having another new style key fob.
The new and old keys work on different frequencies and it was not possible to revert back without changing gubbins under the bonnet. |

Yes, LR Hereford. The £130 was the cost of the key. They tried to charge me half hour to programme it but I complained as it’s a 2 minute job and I’d just had a service plus 4 new tyres so had given them enough money.
You can buy these unprogrammed key fobs on eBay now and again...... |

Yes. Listers LR Hereford. Used to be Fir Tree Ltd in Much Cowarn. Bought two from them and always use them for service and repairs.
Can’t fault them. |

dealt with a bloke in sales there, he also tracked down some seat covers for the rear seats in my Puma- he called me out of the blue about 3 months after I bought the defender and said he got his hands on some second hand ones, they also gave me a years gold cover, I panicked when buying it as it had 6 previous owners- its never missed a beat

Hi,
Is it the key fob as below? I'm waiting for a delivery of replacement cases form the OEM manufacturer. These will take the original circuit board and house it in a 2018 style RangeRover/Discovery case. I'll have a few spare due to minimum order qty, and will be offering them for sale on the forum. Assuming they arrive, they'll be a LOT less than £130. Not sure when they will arrive though. Replace this case, Click image to enlarge With this style, but with buttons in the correct place, |

Does that mean it'll be a different circuit board but still operating on the 434 mHz and it'll just have two working buttons? Alex

Hi,
The fobs have arrived. They come as any empty case, into which you fit the circuit board from the original fob. There is no reprogramming required and it works just as it did in the original case. The new case, Click image to enlarge Fitted with the old circuit board, Click image to enlarge Assembled, Click image to enlarge I've got 8 available for £15 each, delivered to a UK address. Will post in the For Sale section. Just to add, I'm not making money out of this. I only want to cover the cost and help others avoid the £130+ price at a dealer. With that in mind, maximum of 2 cases per forum member. |
