P400 in “normal” spec
Has anyone had any useful information about when it may be possible to spec the 3.0 in specs other than the X in the UK?

There were some press cars from the launch in p400 spec that weren’t X models, and the P400 is available in the US and elsewhere I believe.

Think my next defender will be petrol not diesel, and quite like the idea of the 3.0 MHEV, but hate the X. Cheers, David

Really??

I find it hard to believe that if you want a 3.0 you are forced to go for the X, in one specific colour, etc.

There were definitely press vehicles in Namibia that were p400 but not X...

Then again, Land Rover have done stranger things... Cheers, David

Can also order the P400 with any spec in South Africa, which is exactly what I’ve done Very Happy

The styling choices on the X are not to my taste! The only thing on the X that I wanted and couldn’t spec on mine was the exposed recovery rings.

in Oz we get the D200 D240 and P400, they have excluded the P300 for some reason, but
why settle for 300 ish ponies when you can have 400 Whistle. that said they have put an embargo
on the D2xx at the moment due to the supply chain issues.. yet another pommie bar steward down under

Maybe all the unsold D’s will get shipped out to Aus soon! I think LR has made two huge sales mistakes - not having the PHEV at launch and pitching the price too ambitiously. Having only pure petrol / Diesel engines has all but ruled out sales to anyone living in or commuting into a ULEZ and there are more and more of those coming.
The dealership I purchased from has 48 New Defenders listed for sale on their corporate website, mostly diesels but there are P300’s and in S, SE and First Edition Specs with various factory option fitted. Some of those cars are still to be built BUT those not yet built,I was told, will be in their compound in 2 weeks time. How long before sales incentives start to clear excess stock........ Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!
