2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 USW Orkney Grey

number plate light

Hi all, Ive a 1995 Td5 CSW and due to a lack of concentration and a stragically planted tree I smashed my reversing light lens and damaged my number plate light

. After a quick jaunt to the local independant I purshed said items , Reversing lens not a problem but the number plate light! Well my old one had bolts that went through the plastic spacer thing and into the body work, the one I got part number XFC 100550 hasnt! it has 2 small captive bolts which only go through the light mounting itself ( if that makes sense!) Does anyone know that right part number or do I have an older style fitting?

This may not help,

But

Personally I have removed the spacer bit in-between the light and the body, I think it looks better and still works perfectly well enough to pass the MOT.

I had that thought about 5 mins ago whilst I was trying to see if there were any pics of a Landrovers rear in the current landie mags over a cup of tea!
