I can’t help with the wheel carrier, but just a thought I am sure 7.50’s are supposed to be too wide for Blindo’s as they are quite a wide rim ? 2017 Range Rover L405 Vogue SE V8 Diesel #16

Should be fine. You might need to adjust the stoppers that the wheel bolts against but that will be it.

I’m pretty sure a 750 or 235 is probably about the minimum that can be fitted to this wheel, the military fit them with 750 tyres for their WMIK Landys |

They look great, have lusted after a set of those for my 110.
Might be worth while they are new, clean, un-rubbered and off the vehicle to get some protection on them, some wheeel wax or a ceramic coating to keep them looking pristine for longer and easier to clean when they get covered in brake dust, road slime and mud? I've played with this coating : https://www.carboncollective.com/product/platinum-wheels/ on a set of Boost alloys that I'm about to get rubbered up and fitted. it has made a diffrence to how the rims look and feel, gloss looks better, and when sprayed with water seems to bead up and roll off better. does require some prep and paitence to apply but worth it for a big investment like wheels that you don't change regularly. Thanks for that, I’ll certainly look into getting them coated before fitting, cleaning between those little spokes won’t be much fun so anything that helps keep them clean will be ideal. |

If you do decide to get a Mantec carrier be careful as the back plate can rust

Mantec carriers seem to have a fairly poor powder coat and are not galvanised pre coating. Mine has blown after 3 years. That said it is at the affordable end of the cost spectrum so you pays your money etc etc...

Regarding using 7.50 XZLs on the Blindos, I suspect they are not recommended as the tyres are too narrow. That said, I would personally be inclined to get one fitted and see what it looks like - I know it sounds a bit arbitrary but it's what I'd do. I think it'll be fairly obvious if the tyre is too stretched. WMIKs, although using XZLs and Blindos only seem to use the 235/85 version which is quite a different tread pattern than the 7.50 version and looks significantly wider. There was a lightly used set in the for sale section recently.

Hmm Got me wondering now about the suitability of using my existing 750s. Does anyone here have experience of fitting them to Blindos, or better still pictures? I really don’t want to have to go down the road of new tyres as well I had to disembowel the piggy bank for the wheels.

I've only ever run 255/85 BFG KM2 and KM3 on my Blindos, and I do feel 7.50s would be a bit skinny. You don't want the hot hatch "slammed and rimmed" look.

Think the XZLs Thon is referring to are mine... PM me if you're interested as they're still for sale at the moment, all have around 12mm of tread so barely worn - I only used them in the winter on the shoot.

Just bear in mind that HD (Wolf) rims are 6.5 inches wide and are absolutely fine with 7.50 XZLs so the stretch to 7 inch wide rims is only 6mm more each side. Not a fat hairy lot really. I'd also listen to the advice of the tyre fitting shop you go to because I am sure they've been asked to do way more extreme stretches by yoofs wanting that specific look.
