a little off topic, but last night i when i shouting our ginger boy in.
 Click image to enlarge I heard a bit of a noise, as though someone was in the garden raking about, i thought was next doors pain in the arse back and jumped over the garden fence, So i put all the rear lights on, and looked further to find a hedgehog 
Very 1st time i have seen one in the garden that close, I have only heard one at the bottom of the garden, late on at night, moving though my mams plants. I quickly went back in for my phone, but the fella had took off very quickly  i spotted him and tried to take a photo, but my phone wouldn't play ball  So left him be. We’ve had Bluetits nest and recently fledge here, and Robins as well currently.
A week ago I saw a Barn Owl 30ft from the back door just after dark, that’s a first for me so close to where I live. A couple of miles away at another spot I know of and walk often there is a Roe Deer Hind (Female) that comes back at twilight to a certain spot in a field I’ve seen. Obviously she has a Fawn down in the grass in that area somewhere. The same spot last year too in exactly the same way. Pity we Humans have complicated our own lives so much, nature makes its own way and usually thrives too.  $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

There are some huge buzzards over my meadows in Finchingfield, Legin.
They have been re-populating north Essex for some time now. |

we do get robins and ring neck doves in our garden, I think the ring necks did nest in our garden years ago. so they are sort of used to my mum going out in the garden, as she used to put stuff out for their nest.

That's a polite way of putting it. It's the  who go out shooting grouse that are the issue for the decline in the bird of prey population.
Grouse areas are decimated of all birds which are deemed to harm them. Profit over ecology. |

Got this little fella in our garden at the moment - he's obviously feeding well judging by the huge volume of scat we find each morning!

I recently bought one of those (same brand as yours Supacat judging by the logo in the bottom left of your photo) and have been amazed what the night vision cam "finds" wandering through my tiny completely fenced off back garden - it's captured lots of bats appearing to be feeding on the bird feeders - when I looked closely the next morning the were lots of flies there.
Have been amazed at how good the resolution is on these relatively inexpensive camera traps. Originally I bought mine to watch over the drive/ Defender at night but what I captured at night in the back garden on the weeks trial I was giving the camera is so interesting that the trial has been extended and I might buy a 2nd camera........ Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come 2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. It can be quite addictive can't it. I have caught myself getting up early in the morning just to go out and retrieve the card to see if we have caught anything good the night before.

This has to be the closest encounter for me, as he had walked right in front of me in the dark, He couldnt curl up. Was frightened though as it was shaking, i took a couple of photos. Just in case we don't meet again

I believe that cat food is better than dog food, although dog food is ok (in both cases it needs to be the tinned meat type food, not dried muesli stuff of course).
