Although not a dealer, I wanted to just leave some feedback about my local independent, Ayton Landrovers. When I bought my Td5 90 around a year ago I found it really difficult to find any advice about reputable Land Rover specialists in the area. I think this may be a common problem, as the really good ones have no need to overtly advertise their businesses due to word of mouth and strong repeat business. Trouble is that if you're a new owner or don't know many other local Land Rover owners, you don't find out about such places!
Anyway, Ayton Land Rovers (aka 2nd Gear 4x4) near Scarborough is run by Pete Jamieson, he is extremely friendly and nothing is too much trouble. My 90 has been with him today to have the clutch cylinders replaced and, as usual, the service was excellent. His rates are also extremely competitive and I feel happy knowing that he will be undertaking the work on my vehicle personally. I will be using him in the future without hesitation. If anyone in the area is looking for a good inependent Land Rover specialist, I would thoroughly recommend they speak to Pete. Website here.
Hope that this helps someone else who is in the same position as I was a year ago, looking for someone to trust to look after their vehicle.
