Speedo transducer O ring replacement

Hi..Anyone know the best way to get the speedo transducer housing out easily? I need to change the O ring. I have removed the electronic sensor part but cant see how the centre section comes out. Its very tight to access with the brake drum etc... Is there a special tool/ trick or method to use or do I need to make more room for access?
