There is a spare wheel holder for alloy wheels which fits in the pickup tub. I think it was listed for the tomb raider models but i can't lay my hands on the part number. From memory the price was ridiculous several years ago when i wanted one.
I made my own by cutting up the rear door wheel holder from a discovery (to a flat plate with the three captive studs), welded a suitable length of 20x20 mild steel SHS. I welded an old steel wheel wheel nut onto the end of the SHS. This could then be threaded onto the original spare wheel bracket stud in my dcpu. It also let me use one of the spare wheel locks: ![]() Click image to enlarge Steve 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread |

A stud connector and extra length of stud would cater for the extra distance and then a piece of thick foam to protect the face of the wheel with the standard plate?

The LR bracket will only work if you have standard wheel/tyre size or there about. I tried with my 285/75/16 tyres and the bracket was at too much of an angle because the wheel centre was taller (due to tyre size) meaning the bracket threads would not go through the wheel.
I ended up fabricating this ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge > 110 XS Double Cab |

Fair point, my home made bracket is offset for my 255/85 tyre.
