What is this?

Maybe me being stupid

, what is this box, and plug harness im guessing goes with it, dunno how ive not noticed this before it sits just above passenger side headlight.

Also a question about the X defend pedal lock...

I have one installed and when messing about under the car I noticed 2 of the 6 bolts that hold it to the floor had nuts as well as a domed type nut above them and the other 4 just had the domes.

Im guessing they're anti theft type nuts so it cant be undone from underneath and that the 2 nuts still left on were just whoever fitted it was a bit lazy and didnt tighten them enough for the hex nut to twist off?

Would it be wise to plug in and see if it works correctly? And replace if its dead?

Yes, and relocate it to a position that can't be reached without opening the bonnet while you're at it.

By now the internal battery is likely to be be dead. At one time it was almost impossible to obtain replacement BBUS units, I don't know if this is still the case.
