Stretch Defenders
Anyone remember these stretched Defenders that they used at Solihull for the production line visitors? I took these photos there in 2015 on a visit to the Defender production line and have been wondering what happened to them.

I saw LRE2 & LRE3 back in 2014 when I was down on my induction
I wonder if there is an LRE1 ?
I think I remember being told that these were made for the South African safaris and bought back by JLR and had the bodies made for them in Solihull
Genuine roof racks too (bloody rust magnets Rolling with laughter )

I went to the Land Rover factory tour in Solihull in February this year and there were three of these (LRE1,2&3).
Although they run Puma bonnets, they are actually TD5s.

I forgot about that too, you can see the bulkhead flaps , do these have TD5 dash inside too, I can’t remember even though I got a ride in them My confidence has been writing cheques that my abilities can't cash for years.

It looks like a TD5 dash in your first picture. Darren

A 130" has a bad turning circle, these would probably need a turn table!!!!

It would be tempting to fit a steering axle at the back!

This must have been an early attempt by LR to break into the stretch limo market! Rolling with laughter
