Check to see if you have the overlay kit fitted. macfrank gave me some info on it. This was what caused mine to display the same issues as yours. Overlay kit was installed badly and had corroded at the joins.

I had this same issue and it drove me mad trying to solve it (but I did in the end). Having the indicators flash when arming/disarming is actually a behaviour that can be toggled on or off just by multiple presses of the key fob when the drivers door is open. My ex used to accidentally do it all the time and I couldn’t work out why the indicators never flashed only after she had been driving it. From memory I think you have to have the door open and press the unlock button twice. The indicators will then do some sort of long flash to confirm the mode has been changed. Hope this helps.

Not a lot of time to investigate further today as I had to appease SWMBO and do some gardening! Wink

However, I did notice something else when I finally got a chance to look at the Defender: with the ignition on there is a steady ticking noise at the nearside front - sounds like it could be from behind the headlight.

It could be related.

I've tested fuses and connections.

Without access to a Nanocom or other fault code reader, I can only think that the AS10 is faulty or needs reprogramming.

Is it possible the AS10 lost its settings whilst the dash was out?
