Mountain light
On my pumas dashboard I can see a symbol that looks like a mountain, just below the rev counter I think. I have never known it light up, whats it for? Is it something to do with the same dash being in the disco? 2011 110 USW

Thats the low range warning light. Lights up on the Disco when you put it in low range. No idea why it doesn't on the Defender.

It is the low range light.

I would like to find out if one can activate this light just because. The transfer case has the low range switch fitted. Me thinks it has been disabled from the instrument cluster software config?? 1997 Land Rover Defender 110 HT 2.8i

Ah okay. I have had my truck in low range and didn't see it light up. I only saw it due to the way the sunlight was on the dash. 2011 110 USW

Apart from when you've been doing some delicate reversing manoeuvre with a heavy trailer in low box, you get out unhitch, get in forget your in low box and nearly snap your neck. Rolling with laughter Original Member Pie n Pea Club.

Doing 30mph at max revs in 6th gear would be a good indication.
