That's a damned strong detergent you've got in your bucket There should be pegs sticking out of the vent cover that are moulded into the plastic, get on the phone to your dealer and get them to sort you another one. The broken pegs are probably still in the sockets in the wing which will need pushing through before a new one is fitted. If you were having to do the job yourself I'd just put a thick bead of silicon sealer around the opening to act as a "glue" and stick it back on, or it's an excuse to purchase a raised air intake

There's an excellent fix solution in the link I posted above. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

I just ordered one of these.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121188776163?ssP...1439.l2649 I thought about going to the dealer but i guess the new one would fall off in a miles anyway. This one seems to bolt on - much better solution. |

If you don't want it happening again (dealer fix) you don't want a snorkel / RAI then I would go for KBX.
I have a SS painted "Puma" one mainly down to price, does look good and does the job but still like the KBX. Sadly the downside is price. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ¥ó ®ó §ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó ´ó ¿ðŸ‡®ðŸ‡ªðŸ‡ºðŸ‡¸â›½ï¸ðŸ›¢ï¸âš™ï¸ðŸ§°ðŸ’ª |

From what I've read on this forum, it's quite a common issue. As you say: Top quality LandRover engineering! 2007 (57) Defender 90 (Sold)
Looking for another to replace it. The road less travelled.... is a muddy one! |

I notice that there is a intake duct on the inside of the wing in this picture. Does anyone have a part number or a link to one? I don't have one on my truck, the pipe just rattles around the engine bay.
