When I bought my Defender the reversing lights worked intemittently due to the switch not being screwed fully home in the gearbox.
It is a little tricky to get to! |

Genuine was around 12 quid when I replaced mine so why bother with aftermarket

When I did mine a little while ago, I hacked around an old spanner to fit in the space available, which helped enormously:

I used a sensor socket on mine, ideal for the job.
