[For Sale] Defender 110 Hicap Td5 SOLD

Defender 110 TD5
2001 51
15P Engine
139k miles
12 months MOT
HD Chassis (plated top and bottom)
PTO takeoff on T/Box - not connected to anything at present.
Insulated and lined box body. Ex utilities 110, then used as a mountain rescue style ambulance (hence colour).
To maximise the space inside, the previous owner removed the two side locker doors and plated them over with chequerplate and also the entire side was black chequerplate- I get a twitch when i see too much chequerplate, so have removed the large panels and one side locker and plated it over with smooth alloy.

Work in past 500miles:-
Clutch kit, DMF, rear crank seal, sump gasket, clutch slave cylinder, intercooler, HD rear crossmember, door hinges and lock strikers, military bumper, chassis treatment, Dynachip remap and probably a lot more, and plenty of other tidying jobs as I do not seem to be able to resist tinkering if i own a Defender!
Less recent but still work mentioning - new front discs and pads, rear UJs, new lights, grills, snow cowl, snorkel etc..

Drives really nicely and crying out for a basic camper build (it's over 6ft long in the back and i've camped in it very comfortably).
It's solid throughout, little scruffy on the rear passenger rear corner where it has had a land rover style repair and there are odd marks all over it as one might expect.

This will be my last Defender for a while and the first time without one for 10 years - but my old cob workshop needs restoring at home and that is a priority at the moment. So our ye-olde Hilux surf will hopefully be recommissioned for now...

It is located in East Devon, viewings and cuppa always welcomed.

£8750

Having not made a huge effort to sell this over the winter (been quite useful getting logs and pottering around the lanes!) I really do need to sell it and transfer funds to my barn resto!

Turns out it's been yellow since near enough new and was used as a railway track repair truck with the PTO powering a rear mounted welder for Imerys in Cornwall. Some chap messaged me to say he used to use this 110 there, and then a I saw an identical 53 plate one still in operation on a recent trip to the area.

It's still just about on 139k miles, so not been used much!

Reduced to £7500ovno
