Go to Harry potter studio tour... they sell "Butter beer"....

All the visiting trades, I remember when Ringtons first started to sell Coffee at a lost leader in 2 ounce tins I think the advert was "Luxury product at affordable price" I remember waiting for the milkman so that I could have breakfast before going to school. The guy that used to do the Betterware said they were going out of business, don't know if its true or not. Don't make old people mad. We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

If Wikipedia is to be believed, Betterware ceased trading in April 2018.
Possibly due to the fact nearly everything they sold was available cheaper in Lakeland, and the people who did it in our area just kept posting catalogues through our door every couple of weeks! Milk deliveries seem to be having a bit of a Renaissance. It will be a while before I ever go back to a milk delivery mainly because milk on the doorstep in the summer goes rancid. Everyone knocked Maggie Thatcher the school milk snatcher in the late 70’s. These were mostly people who didn’t have to drink the stuff when it froze in the winter (and the cream popped out the lid) or where it sat outside in the sun and went off in the summer Possibly the best days work she ever did. |

I like the Italian Defender with the face mask Won't be long before all Defenders in the UK have to stay in their garages for two weeks and then wear a radiator muff. Defender 90XS SW
