It is continuous, but surely your ligjht fitting is higher than the internal lip of the roof or am i getting the wrong end of the stick here?

I'm not sure hence the post.
I think I'll silicone around the alpine lights anyway & see as I can't find any other portal of entry; the gush of water seemed too much for condensation!! Richard Defender 90 SVX |

For what it's worth, my 110 van's roof has been dripping with condensation most of the winter. I wonder if that's what yours has done while unused and it's just collected there.
Mine's used daily so it probably doesn't have a chance to pool. |

Excellent pics thanks. Looking at the level of the gutter, I'm sure you're right.
Some of the leaks appearing from the top of the A post maybe from the gutter channelling water along though. Having been using the vehicle daily this week, there's been nothing at all but then we've not had much rain either. Will W&S & thanks again! Richard Defender 90 SVX |

It's not unknown for the joint between the sloping and horizontal parts of the roof to leak, for some reason this seems to be very common on double-cabs.

OK, so pressure washed the alpine lights & no leak - proves the condensation theory, thanks guys.
Now, the side windows, well that's another story. Water comes in like Niagara Falls Hey ho, a job for another time......... Richard Defender 90 SVX |
