Hi everyone,
As some of you will know from following my You Tube channel, I am stripping and rebuilding my 2011 Puma 2.4 which I bought new. Imagine myn surprise when I noticed these welds on the bulkhead.. what a mess!! Does anyone here have the same or seen the same? It must be a factory rework?? Click image to enlarge I'm going to paint the bulkhead once I've cleaned up a few areas. I'm not sure whether I should tidy this up or just paint over it?? Click image to enlarge Thanks for looking Nige Check out my You Tube channel https://www.youtube.com/c/Defender90KeswickNigelsLandRoverchannel |

Wow - Friday afternoon job, or "Fred we need another bulkhead for the Load Lane order - (Fred) I've only got the scrap one the apprentices practiced on - that'll do!"

Is it a rework job where spot welds have failed?

It looks like the bulkhead got creased and they welded on studs to affix a slide hammer...

I would like to write to someone at JLR and show them this dire rework.
Does anyone know an email address I can send the pics to? I don't expect them to do anything, but I just want to get it off my chest. Nige Check out my You Tube channel https://www.youtube.com/c/Defender90KeswickNigelsLandRoverchannel |

Works in the marketing department, probably be able to use it as a positive for the new alternative. |
