They have some lovely stuff up there (only about 10mins from me if anyone wants it scoping out)
He does know how to 'value' stuff though and don't think he's ever heard of the phrase 'reasonable'. |

Makes me think my 1948 may be a potential pension fund. 80" 1948

That's an asking price not a sale price, and it's been on the market for a while.
Series One prices have risen steeply since the millennium, but seem to have flattened somewhat now. I may have owned my 1948 since 1973, but I don't view it as a pension fund - and I am not happy that these sort of asking prices just drive up the cost of insurance. |

These crazy prices are totally at odds to what these vehicles are all about, this applies to the Defender too.

You are paying too much, I insure my 80 and series 3, fully comp, for £180 the pair, or £90 each a year. Jon Land Rover 1950 series 1 Land Rover LWB 1967 series 2A Land Rover SWB 1980 series 3 Land Rover 110 Defender 2013 |

I think Series One asking prices have softened a bit over the last 6 months which is a good thing IMO, although asking prices for spare parts still seem to be in chancer land.
