Jaguar Land Rover parent Tata Motors has named Thierry Bollore to be the next CEO of the U.K. luxury automaker.
Bollore, who was fired from his post as Renault CEO in October, will replace Ralf Speth as JLR boss starting Sept. 10, the company said in a stock exchange filing. Speth, 64, is scheduled to retire in September and will become non-executive vice-chairman of JLR. "It will be my privilege to lead this fantastic company through what continues to be the most testing time of our generation," Bollore said in the filing." https://www.autonews.com/executives/jaguar...ef-bollore Big mates with this fella: Click image to enlarge |

We don’t have any Brits available? I’m sure Gerry Mc would love the job, then he could sack all the engineers who spoil his great ideas. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

Nick Rogers made the shortlist, but I'm not certain whether that was more internal politics.

Hang on, he was fired from his last position and worked for a French car marker that only really sell most of their cars in France.
At that level do these people act like football managers, ie have a rubbish run, get sacked, go and work in the same position for another club. Was there no one else on the way up in the industry.......or is this a preemptive move for JLR to move further production to France, I mean Europe....... |

I think his sacking had all to do with his close links to Ghosn rather than any performance related issues with Renault.

Interesting to see what big issues are in his in tray for action:
*sales slump *huge losses *high debt *over capacity in manufacturing *bloated cost base *poor quality *poor reliability *low productivity *expensive transition to electric vehicles And the list goes on. https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/cov...e-18910820 |
