Speakers not working
Hi All, I have a 2014 Defender 110 with factory ICE upgrade, subwoofer on the back of the cubby bluetooth etc. All was fine on Friday, no issues. Today however no sound through the speakers, there is something coming through the sub, and responding to the volume control but that is it, its the same for radio, CD and aux and paired phone. Checked the obvious stuff but so far no joy. Anyone experienced the same issue or can point me in the right direction?. Cheers Sold Def 90 HT 2010...Stornaway..(SOLD in Oct 2014)

All, just by means of an update, in case you find yourselves in the same situation.

It would appear that if there is a short/break in any of the outputs, then Alpine systems go into a protection mode, my local ICE dealer explained and confirmed that was what mine was doing.

I checked all the cables and finally located one of the connections in the main 16 pin ISO connector plugged into the back of the head unit was not making a good connection, once pushed fully home, the system came back on line..sounds restored.

Hopefully may save you some time, if you suffer the same issue. Sold Def 90 HT 2010...Stornaway..(SOLD in Oct 2014)
