2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Stornoway Grey

help! I am not able to take the pin from a connector

Hi there!

I have a broken cable in aconnector but Im not able to take out the pin.
I already open the lid in the back and try to use a small allen and a clip to release the pin but nothing.

Any special trick to do it?

2015 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Montalcino Red

Small flat blade screwdriver, in through the front of the connector (non wire side) in the non-square hole. You need to lever a small plastic latch away from the metal terminal, then gently pull the wire to free it. If no wire attached (like here) use something thin to push the terminal out backwards.

I thnnk I need a smaller screwdriver that the one that I using to release the latch...

I have better experience with a needle to loosen the clip inside the plastic body. Even watchmaker screwdrivers are sometimes too large. "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "Blufínek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo

A safety pin works well to lift the retaining tang.
