clamp tester
hi guys I want a clamp type tester to check for battery drain any recommendations . looking at clamp type has I don't want to disconnect the battery I understand that if not fast with a puma it can cause problems Smile

Clamp DC current meters are not sensitive enough to measure low currents. So not really suitable for your measurement. Bellow 0.1A they are not really accurate or even reliable. But ideal for quick first test. Look for one with 40A DC or lower range and auto zero. "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "BlufĂ­nek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo Smile

What are you then going to do if/when you find a current draw? If you want to delve further you'll need additional kit. If cost is an issue, then I'd go straight for the latter kit and check current draws at fused connections.
