eBay Item No. 402021971271 not sure if its genuine i am sure bac prefix was for press cars checked on dvla reg date is correct not far from me

2015 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 SW Keswick Green

Yes I saw this, looks interesting if a genuine prototype, although I’m not sure what would be different from a production vehicle other than it’s registerd earlier than production 300tdi vehicles and the fact it has a factory/ Solihull BAC plate. The near side rear body front sill looks odd as it’s supposed to curve around to the front of the rear body like the off side one, maybe just accident damage but can’t see it properly. It looks quite a sorted thing. It’s got the 4 tailgate hinges which carried over from the Series 3 Hi Caps before they reduced them to 2 hinges.
I quite like it, but then again I like Hi Caps anyway. I had a late 300Tdi HiCap years ago and was a very useful tool and if I was in the market today for one I would definately be looking at this one and if it is a genuine prototype it would be the icing on the cake. I could happily loose the black chequer plate though.
Perhaps Slidey Windows may be able to throw some more light on this

Had a V8 hi-cap back in 1986 - C22ATP, it's still (was?) relatively local but the V8 has since been replaced with a BMW diesel. Pick up way more practical than the standard type - amazed at what I used to be able to get in the back!

It seems the eBay vehicle may not be anything special.

It was built with a 200Tdi engine, and people with more insider knowledge than me don't think it is pre-production or prototype 300Tdi.
