Don't think any defender with a diesel is compliant, it's pretty much 2018 or newer for diesels now!

I've ended up auto registering both of my vehicles, got a couple of fines where I was travelling late and just forgot how tight the deadline is!

Well I have been checking by TD5 2003 here:

https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/check-your-vehicle-35896

and it is not subject to ULEZ!

I'd double check that, all diesels pre 2016 are impacted by ULEZ. LEZ is a wider area and only covers goods vehicles.

Yup triple checked and still no ULEZ!!!

The vehicles that are ULEZ exempt are fairly random in some cases, probably down to admin errors. Our 2004 Td5 and 2012 TDCi, both station wagons, are subject to the charge. However, our 2006 XC70 D5 Volvo somehow gets a ULEZ exemption?! Laughing

The best part is that our Series 2 is exempt. Cool Charlie

1949 Series 1 80 (SOLD)
2002 Td5 90 (SOLD)
2008 Freelander 2 (SOLD)

1958 Series 2 88 Pastel Green (2019 LR Legends Best Restored)
1983 V8 110 Limestone (Previously owned by Tom Sheppard MBE)
2004 Td5 90 Santorini Black (Td5INSIDE Powered & Rebuilt by CSK)
2012 Puma 110 Zermatt Silver (Overlanding Build)

Just checked my 2013 110usw 2.2 with cat and dpf and I would need to pay £12.50 ulez daily but not lez. What a load of Censored that system is. A td5 with no emissions control is ok but mines not?????
