Being a 62 plate that will probably fall in the right Chassis no range for the oil pump recall. Check it has been done. If not get it sorted.
Looks good btw |

Too nice to just leave there: Click image to enlarge What's the company history on this.? Wheels...only one right answer ~ heavy duty steels Might want to check the hose support bracket on the intercooler as well as the oil pump mod. What's the odd looking bolt in driverβs door top hinge? |

It came from a leese company, very little history but the mot history looks straight. My guess would be a utility company of sorts?
I was going to ask about the bolts in general as most of the bolt fitments look manky with some early signs of corrosion. What is the best way to clean these up and is there a better aftermarket replacement? I'll look into the recall status and Yea I do like the bigger steel wheels. Should I be looking for Wolf or is there a good aftermarket alternative? She's tidy enough for now, I need to get a replacement or aftermarket grille as there's a small bit missing just now and I'll need to get a touch up for a few wee marks too although down the road I'd like to respray Keswick Green. |

Nice looking truck!
Is that a screw and washer at the lower rear of the driver's front wing? Unusual! If it was me, and if you're planning on a long ownership ( long enough to consider a respray anyway) then I'd check that the obvious places where steel meets aluminium are dealt with, and the metals are separated by a pvc or rubber gasket. I'm thinking specifically of where the roll cage meets/bolts through the front and rear wings. For the fixings, a lot of folk go stainless (myself included) but just to keep you entertained, have a look through this thread and see what you think. https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic38216...=stainless Donald 1994 Defender 300Tdi 110 SW - owned since 2002 - 230k miles and going strong (The 'rolling restoration' or tinkering thread: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic58538.html ) 2000 Range Rover P38 4.0L V8 in the past..
