Interesting to see that Ford are still having issues with clutches and now have a new recall in place for vehicles going all the way back to 2014:

Is this clutch unit the same as in the defender made in the latter stages of it's production?

could it be that LR have done the sums and decided that due to all the other issues the likelihood of loss of population due to clutch or adapter shaft is so low it's not worth worrying about

Transit Connect fitted with 1.5 engine. clutch pressure plate are not the seems having ( broken then driving ) Transit and Transit Connect in past , clutch, engine so on

Transit and Transit Connect use different engine and different clutch is what dorsetsmith is saying.
