Oh yes, of course.

Oh yeah, that's probably because the lead posts have become narrowed / deformed which adds to it.
The new battery (Yuasa) arrived today via UPS in top nick. Fitted in, all perfect vent connected up just like the factory one. It has a battery indicator in the top which is useful, the post clamps are a good fit and tighter now too. Really pleased with that. It might just be my imagination but my key fob range seems extended, that might be because battery voltage was sitting lower at rest due to age with the old battery. Went for a good 50mile round trip run to give it a good charge too. Thank you to Williamthedog for the recommendation. I am very pleased, and the higher spec is the icing on the cake too. LR donโt manufacture them anyway they are only sub contracted. Just because it has a LR bag or label on doesnโt mean itโs always the best option. No Guts, No Glory.
