*UPDATED AD AND PHOTOS*
Regrettably, up for sale is my very low, fully documented mileage (40k) Land Rover Defender 110 200TDI Utility Station Wagon. The vehicle was purchased in 1992 and used as a fire tender vehicle at a power station. In 2014 it was retired having covered only 15k miles. I purchased the vehicle and used it for a year before embarking on a full nut and bolt rebuild in 2015/16 to create the perfect overlanding vehicle. The rebuild was fully documented with several hundred photographs and a file of receipts. It includes but is not limited to; - Richard's Galvanised Chassis with removable gearbox crossmember. - Brand new TD5 bulkhead, cavity waxed and stone chipped (footwells) prior to fitting. - Galvanised B posts (side frames). - TD5/TDCI rear door and Mantec swingaway wheel carrier. - Full aluminium door tops front and rear. Rear door bottoms galvanised, front door bottoms cavity waxed from new. - All panels lined with sound deadening sheets. The roof was insulated with 3M thinsulate prior to fitting a refurbished roof lining. - All cappings removed, galvanised, painted and refitted. - Full respray in orange and black colour scheme. The paintwork is good overall. However, there are some minor blemishes and the odd light scratch which are to be expected with use. - TD5 XS half leather seats with custom cubby box. - Complete suspension overhaul, 2" lift HD springs and shocks, all bushes replaced with OE spec. - Entirely new brake system with extended braided hoses. - Full engine service including timing belt replacement. The current odometer reading is 40,073 miles and the vehicle will receive a full service of engine and transmission oils prior to sale. - New fuel tank and lines. - Transmission overhaul including replacement OE bearings where required. Fitted with a low mileage and fully inspected before fitting 1.220 ratio transfer box for better cruising at motorway speeds. In summary, a no expense spared rebuild that produced the perfect vehicle for adventure without the need to worry about corrosion! The vehicle has performed flawlessly since the rebuild covering 25k miles on countless trips and has been serviced every 5k miles. I will be very sad to see it go, but due to a change of circumstances, it's time for someone else to enjoy it. The vehicle will be sold as photographed, minus any overlanding gear on a set of standard Defender steel wheels with very good tread. Alternatively, subject to prior negotiation, the following wheel/tyre options could be included in the sale; - 285/75/16 (33") Cooper Discover Pro STT2 tyres on black modular steel wheels x5 (500 miles old). - Grey 8 Spoke steel wheels with 235/85/16 BF Goodrich Mud Terrains x5. It is MOT'd until June 2020, a full 12 months MOT can be put on if required. I am more than happy to share the photos and further details of the rebuild and welcome a conversation with any prospective buyer on 07531518611. Viewing and a test drive is actively encouraged and I welcome reasonable offers around the asking price of £14,250.
